Bassett Families,
It is with excitement that I announce on May 19, 2020 I was named Superintendent of Millbrae School District. Millbrae is a city nestled in the northern portion of San Mateo County located on the San Francisco Peninsula.
As I reflect on my tenure in Bassett, I am grateful for the opportunity I was provided to serve a community and a student-base committed to learning. I am honored to have worked alongside union leadership who engaged in collaborative discussions and faced challenging times with a spirit of teamwork. I admire that our district management team, our teachers and our classified team worked to develop relationships that were rooted in respect, and while not always agreeing, were professional in representing our respective beliefs. I am grateful to our district leadership team who not only became my thought-partners but a team I deeply respect and admire greatly.
I wish the Bassett students, community and staff only the best in the coming months and years. While these are challenging times in our nation, and more locally in our district, I believe that Bassett is filled with people who see opportunity in challenge and will apply a solution-minded lens to address any and all struggles Bassett may confront. I am confident that children will remain the central focus of the conversation and the decision-making in Bassett.
Thank you for entrusting me with the responsibility to participate in the educational journey of each one of your children. It has been a great honor to serve this beautiful community.
