My name is Rosie Ducoing I am the director of the Child Development Program here at Bassett Unified School District.

Our primary focus here at the Child Development Center is to ready children for school or for their next program placement. For our Early Head Start children that's to ready them for their next placement which would be our Preschool program and for our Preschool children to ready them for TK and Kindergarten when they're ready to go.

Parents should choose Bassett because it's a great program, we have many committed staff here at the Child Development Center.

My name is Cathy Ruiz and I'm a head start teacher here at Flanner, I've been working at Bassett Unified School District 28 years. You might walk in and think that the children are just playing, but they're actually learning and they learn by doing, so we have our dramatic area where we have a lot of different props for them to engage in, we have our art area where they are able to be creative and use the different type of tools for them to explore with, and then we have our Discovery Center where they're able to look at the natural world through books and magnifying glasses, then we have our block area they're able to build and then we have our toys and games they're able to use manipulatives in order to build their learning skills.

Hello my name is Elizabeth Hernandez and I work with children 18 months and up in an Early Head Start classroom and we serve children up to the age of three.

What we love to do here at Bassett Child Development is teaching children to grow and nurture in a loving relationship, in a loving environment, in a secure setting where families could go freely work and not have to worry about where's my child safe, is my child going to have a nutritious meal, is my child going to have opportunities to explore.

I'm proud to be part of Bassett because we have many committed staff here who are committed to the success of their child's journey and success in life, so when the child comes to our program, our support staff, our teaching staff partner up with a family, so that the child could be successful on that journey.
