What is end-of-life and end-of-support?
An end-of-life (EOL) product is a product that does not receive continuing support, either because existing marketing, support and other processes are terminated, or it is at the end of its useful life. This applies to software and hardware. End-of-support (EOS) refers to a situation in which a company ceases support for a product due to EOL.

What is e-waste?
Ewaste is equipment that is no longer reliable or functional for office or classroom use. This is determined by a combination of the following items; manufacture support has ended, equipment can no longer support software or security updates, cost of parts and labor exceed the cost of the electronic, and/or the technology has outlived its usefulness (VCR, CD player, etc.). If an electronic has been determined to be e-waste it will be removed from the District's inventory and support list.
